Fly
fishing for steelhead in the Fraser Valley is very challenging, yet exciting
and rewarding. These streamlined
power-houses
weigh an average of ten to twelve pounds; however, landing a seventeen or
eighteen pounder is not uncommon. The rivers in the Fraser Valley see some
of the highest steelhead returns in the entire province. We have great hatchery
programs which increase your chances of a hook-up, and we also have many
wild fish. We use spey
and single hand fly rods (8-9wts). The
chances of one to two hook-ups a day are good if the water conditions are
perfect, making this fishing experience best for the more experienced fly
fisher. |
