Do we need to bring anything with us?
All rods, reels, lines
and flies are provided! If you would
like to bring you own gear, please feel free. Here
are some of the things that you should bring for
your trip: waders & boots, an extra pair of socks, sweatshirt,
rain jacket, hat, sunscreen, sunglasses, gloves and camera.
2. If I bring my own gear, what do you suggest?
We suggest a 4 to 6 weight
fly rod with floating and sink tip (type 3 or
clear tip) lines for trout (if you are booking for
the wilderness adventure also bring a 7 to 8 wt,
as the trout are bigger!). For salmon and
steelhead, we suggest 8-9 wt fly rod with Rio
Versa tip ( type 8, type 6,
type 3, clear and floating heads).
3. Where do we get a fishing license?
Fishing licenses can be purchased directly from
BC Fly Fisher. Click here to see the
licensing rates.
4. Can you accommodate
groups larger than 4 people?
Yes, we can accommodate any size group with
advanced notice.
5. Do I need to bring a
lunch?
Yes, you will need to bring a lunch, or we can
provide one to you for $15.00 CDN per person.
If you have any food allergies please let us know
in advance.
6. How do I get to Grant Narrows from
Vancouver?
From Vancouver, head east on Broadway Street
which will become the Lougheed Highway as you head
toward the town of Maple Ridge. On your way, you
will drive through the towns of Burnaby, Coquitlam
and Port Coquitlam. After Port Coquitlam, you will
drive over a double bridge, crossing the lower
Pitt river. Once you cross the Pitt River bridge,
at the second set of lights, turn left (North) on
Harris road, follow Harris road to Dewdney
Trunk Road and turn right. Continue down Dewdney
Trunk Road for a couple of minutes; then turn left
(north) on to Neaves Road. Continue down Neaves
Road to Grant Narrows. Remember the whole drive is
30-45 minutes from Vancouver.
7. How do I get to
Chilliwack from the Vancouver Airport?
From Vancouver Airport take Highway 99 east to
Highway 10. Follow Highway 10 east to 176th Street.
Turn left (north) onto 176th St until you reach
Highway #1. Go east down Highway #1 towards Hope. Continue
down Hwy #1 to Chilliwack and take the 119B exit
into Chilliwack.
8. How do I get to
Chilliwack from Vancouver?
Take Hastings Street east and turn right onto
Highway #1. Follow Highway # 1 east to Chilliwack.
Take the 119B exit into Chilliwack.
9. How do I get to Chilliwack
from Tsawwassen?
From Tsawwassen take Highway 17 North to Highway 99.
Go East on Highway 99 to Highway 10, then go east
on
Highway 10. Follow Highway 10 east to 176th Street.
Turn left (north) on to 176th Street and follow it
until you reach Highway
#1. Go east on Highway #1 towards Hope. Continue
down Hwy #1 to Chilliwack and take the 119B exit
into Chilliwack.
